President Search Underway

As previously announced, President Leanne Giese will retire at the conclusion of the 2026-2027 academic year after 17 years of extraordinary leadership.

Under Leanne’s stewardship, Dominican completed two capital campaigns where donors contributed more than $13 million, grew its endowment by nearly 400%, strengthened academics and faith formation, and positioned the school for continued success.

Building on this strong foundation, the Dominican Board of Directors and Presidential Search Committee are pleased to launch a national search for the school’s next president.

The Board of Directors has formed a search committee with the goal of identifying Dominican’s next president by the spring of 2027, with a planned start date of July 1, 2027. To help ensure a smooth and successful transition, President Leanne Giese has graciously agreed to remain involved as a consultant to both Dominican and the incoming president during the 2027–2028 school year.
