TUITION, FINANCIAL AID & SCHOLARSHIPS

TUITION

In order to provide the best possible education, Dominican spends over $16,000 on every student each year. Over $3,000 of the actual cost to educate each student is offset through donations from individuals and institutions who generously give so that Dominican can continue to carry out its mission.

The remaining cost of education is paid through tuition and fees:

2023-2024 tuition and fees for freshmen:

  • Tuition – $14,300
  • Activity Fee – $500 (one-time, annual fee covering all extra-curriculars)

FINANCIAL AID

Financial Aid applications are always being accepted and we encourage you to apply as early as possible. The financial aid application requires families to submit documentation to FAIR, which is a third-party company that helps to accurately summarize each family’s financial need. After the admissions and financial aid application deadline, the Financial Aid Committee meets to determine the aid award for each properly completed financial aid application. These aid awards come from a pool of money that is set aside for this purpose. These aid awards are not loans and do not require repayment.

The preliminary financial aid application deadline is December 1. To inquire about available financial aid following the December 1 deadline, please contact our Admissions Department.

Getting Started

To begin the on-line application process, Parents/Legal Guardians should go to www.fairapp.com and click on the “Parent Login” link.

Click on the “Create New Login” link in the New Parents section of the page. Your login will be your email address and the password that you select.

Once you have created your account you can start the process by clicking on the “Create a New Application” link. You will then be prompted for your school code and school password listed below:

Dominican High School

School Code: 237

School Password: dhs237

The application process requires that you complete each section, in order, before moving on to the next one. However, it is not necessary to complete the whole application at once. Each section allows you to save your data before proceeding to the next one. The sections are listed on the left hand side of the screen. The sections have a colored circle next to it. A red circle means you can’t access that section yet. A green circle means that you are currently working on that section. A green circle with a check mark means that you have completed that section of the application.

Helpful hints

  • Required fields are highlighted with a red dot.
  • Make sure all of your dependents are listed on the application.
  • Your session will time out after 30 minutes of inactivity. You will need to log back in to resume the process from your last saved section.
  • Review your application for accuracy before checking out and submitting payment.
  • Maximize your internet browser window to make viewing the online application easier.

NOTE: Once you submit your credit card information for payment you will no longer be able to edit your application.

SCHOLARSHIPS

As part of the admissions decision process, Dominican does award a small number of partial tuition scholarships to applicants based on academic merit, financial need, and the overall quality of the complete application file. Recipients of these scholarships will be notified of their awards in early spring.

Dominican does not offer any additional scholarship opportunities, but applicants are encouraged to reach out to their schools, churches, and other outside scholarship programs.
