Academics

For over 50 years, Dominican High School has provided students a challenging college-preparatory education. Our curriculum and programs reflect the mission and values of our founders, the Sinsinawa Dominican Congregation. Our faculty and staff believe in fostering each student's spirituality and creativity while encouraging intellectual and social development. In their four-years at Dominican, students develop a sense of social responsibility and respect for human dignity that serves as the foundation for them becoming successful members of a global community.
At Dominican High School, we offer our students a rigorous four-year curriculum that prepares them for the academic environment they will encounter in a higher education setting. Over 98% of our graduates pursue higher education and are admitted to some of the most prestigious schools in the nation. Our small class sizes allow our teachers to work one-on-one with students and address different learning or ability levels promptly. In addition to challenging academic courses, our students have the opportunity to participate in our renowned fine art classes including theater, stained glass, and choir.
We believe that parents enter a partnership with Dominican High School in order to provide their child with a safe, faith-centered, and nurturing environment. Our faculty and staff believe in keeping open lines of communication between school and home and providing honest and constructive feedback about each student's needs and responsibilities. This open communication keeps parents involved in their student's progress and achievements.
